How to AirPlay an iPhone to a Windows PC

Short answer
Windows can't receive AirPlay on its own. Install ByteMirror, which includes an AirPlay receiver, keep it open, then on the iPhone open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring and pick your PC. The screen and its sound appear on the PC, and in OBS Studio as a ByteMirror Phone source.
AirPlay is how an iPhone shares its screen without a cable, but Windows has no AirPlay receiver built in. ByteMirror adds one when you install it.
AirPlay needs both devices on the same Wi-Fi network. If you'd rather use a cable, ByteMirror also mirrors an iPhone over USB.
Steps
- 1Install ByteMirrorDownload ByteMirror for Windows 10 or 11 and run the installer. Keep ByteMirror open.
- 2Use the same Wi-FiConnect the iPhone and the PC to the same network. If Windows lists the network as Public, change it to Private in Settings, Network and internet, so Windows lets AirPlay through.
- 3Start Screen MirroringOn the iPhone, open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring and choose your PC. The iPhone's screen and sound appear in ByteMirror.
- 4Add it to OBS (optional)In OBS Studio, click + under Sources, choose ByteMirror Phone and pick the iPhone. Add the source before you start mirroring.
If your PC doesn't appear in Screen Mirroring
Check that ByteMirror is open, both devices are on the same network and the network is set to Private. Some office and hotel networks block AirPlay; use the USB cable there.
