ByteMirror app
With the ByteMirror app.
The app shares the screen and the game's sound over Wi-Fi. Developer options stay off.
- 1Install the ByteMirror app on the phone.
- 2On the PC, click Add phone in ByteMirror. A code appears.
- 3Scan the code with the app. The phone and the PC pair once.
- 4In the app, choose the game screen and allow screen sharing.
Screen sharing with sound needs Android 10 or later. On versions before Android 13, the phone may go quiet while it shares its sound. On Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco phones, let ByteMirror run in the background in the battery settings so the stream doesn't stop.
Pro mode
Over USB, with USB debugging.
Pro mode uses Android's USB debugging to capture the screen and sound over the cable. Nothing gets installed on the phone.
- 1On the phone, open Settings, then About phone, and tap the build number seven times to unlock Developer options.
- 2In Developer options, turn on USB debugging. On Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco, also turn on USB debugging (Security settings).
- 3Plug the phone into the PC and tap Allow on the USB debugging prompt.
- 4The phone appears in ByteMirror. Click it.
Game sound in Pro mode needs Android 11 or later.
OBS Studio
Straight into OBS.
Add the ByteMirror Phone source in OBS Studio and pick the phone. The screen and the game's sound come in together.
