iPhone cable
What the USB driver step does.
Windows gives every iPhone to Apple's USB driver, and no other program can read the iPhone's screen through it. So the first time you set up an iPhone for the cable, ByteMirror asks to switch that one iPhone to the open-source libusb-win32 driver, which can. Windows shows one permission prompt.
Only that iPhone changes. Other USB devices keep their drivers, and nothing happens if you only use AirPlay, the camera page or an Android phone. The installer also puts the small libusbK.dll library, which ByteMirror uses to talk to that driver, in the Windows system folder.
To undo it, open the iPhone's menu in ByteMirror and choose Give this iPhone back to Apple's driver. Uninstalling ByteMirror also gives every iPhone back to Apple's driver.
